4 day upper, lower, a tried and true split designed to fit into a busy schedule and still prioritize working each muscle group twice a week to follow the science for maximal growth. The upper lower split is designed to give your body enough rest between each upper body day and lower body day for recovery. There should be no less than two days between the two upper days and the two lower days. There can be more time, but to recover the most, we need that two day span. The upper body days are designed to hit each muscle of the upper body minimum of once each day and the lower body days are designed the same. Lower body days will have abs included in them as working abs will lead to hypertrophy and muscle gain to allow for abs to become more visible at higher levels of body fat.
